The table is set. One room. One conversation. Closing the $171B commercial real estate wealth gap with investment, development, and policy.
About this Event

You have been personally invited to one of the most important conversations happening in the Baltimore - DC Metropolitan Corridor this summer.

Capital Conversations is a curated panel discussion and networking reception hosted by Sierra Conney, Commercial Real Estate Advisor and President of BLUE CASA® Commercial Division, at Le Meridian Washington DC The Madison on Friday, June 26, 2026.

The 2021 Brookings Institute research study has documented $171 billion in lost commercial real estate wealth in majority Black and underserved neighborhoods across the United States. Not potential. Not projection. Lost. Drained out of communities through a market failure that has a name, a mechanism, and we believe a solution.

Capital Conversations exists to name the gap, convene the people who can close it, and build the relationships that turn research into action.

THE EVENING

The program opens at 6:00 PM with a pre-reception cocktail hour, followed by a 75-minute moderated panel discussion.

The Price - What does the research actually show, and how does a market systematically undervalue an entire community's assets?

The Build - What are developers and entrepreneurs doing right now to create ownership in undervalued markets, and what does it actually cost?

The Transfer - What are the structural tools - policy levers, financial instruments, and economic development strategy - that determine whether the wealth we build today lasts?

The panel concludes with audience Q&A, followed by a sunset networking reception through 10:00 PM with bar service and light bites.

WHO WILL BE IN THE ROOM

Guests include commercial real estate professionals, accredited investors, state and local legislators, government agency representatives, developers, and community development leaders across the Baltimore-Washington Metro corridor.

Every seat is intentional.

ABOUT THE HOST

Sierra Conney is a Commercial Real Estate Advisor, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, and President of BLUE CASA® Commercial Division. She provides strategic advisory serving investors, developers, government agencies, and corporate partners in the Baltimore-Washington Metro Area. As a Black woman in a field where fewer than 2% of senior leaders share her background, Sierra built her practice at the intersection of institutional rigor and community accountability.

Capital Conversations is the public expression of that mission.
