About this Event
February is often about romantic love, and this gathering is an invitation to turn that love inward.
Canvas & Coastline is providing a nurturing outdoor workshop held in the Currumbin Valley Hinterland, designed to help you reconnect with yourself, soften your nervous system, and create something meaningful through painting to take home as a reminder of just how deeply you are loved.
This experience blends gentle self-reflection, breathwork, sound healing, and intuitive painting. You don't need any art experience. This is not about creating something "perfect." It's about presence, expression, and remembering the love that already exists within you.
This is a beginner friendly therapeutic art workshop created for you to try something new while also learning more about yourself.
What to expect:
- Opening Circle & Intention: we will begin by settling into the space and exploring the concept of self-love in a grounded, accessible way - not as a buzzword, but as a felt experience. You'll be guided to reflect through curated journal prompts what self-love means to you and what you're ready to reconnect with or release.
- Intuitive Painting Experience: from this softened, embodies state, we'll move into painting. You'll be guided to work with colours of love, intuition, and emotion, allowing your body and inner world to lead, rather than your mind. There's no right or wrong way to paint here. This is about self-expression, flow, and letting go of self-judgement. Your finished piece becomes a personal anchor, something you can return to on days where you forget how deeply you are loved.
- Breathwork & Sound Healing: through gentle breathwork and sound, we'll continue to calm the nervous system, activate the parasympathetic response, and release stored tension and suppressed emotions. This part of the session is designed to help you feel safe, regulated, and open-hearted. We end with breath and sound to create the internal space needed for continued creativity and connection.
- Closing & Integration: we'll close the session with some grounding, reflection, and space to integrate the experience before heading back into your day feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected to yourself.
