Canvas & Cadence: Honoring Black Music is an immersive art exhibition that blends visual art, sound, and storytelling to celebrate the legacy and influence of Black music. Through interactive installations and community participation, it explores how music shapes culture, identity, and history across generations. This event is presented by two prolific artists, Ron Smith and Karen La Beau, in conjunction with Bossier Arts Council. in Shreveport, Louisiana.The location is Uneeda Artist Lofts in downtown Shreveport from 3PM to 6PM. The event is family friendly and free to the public.
This exhibition will be available for viewing and art purchasing until July 31, 26. Throughout this time, there will be several activities for you to attend, such as live music, juke joint dancers, vocalists, drumming, and a chance to hear our Music Commissioner, Winston Hall, talk about music history in Shreveport.
