This is gonna be an evening packed with some really intense, intimate, and wildly dynamic music that'll share a space with what is bound to be a room full of top-notch people. We can't wait to see you there!
Claire Therese & The Lockdown - Evoking comparisons to Patti Smith and Neko Case, Claire Thérèse and The Lockdown infuse punk intention and sweeping instrumentals reminiscent, in their own folkiness, of bands like Hurray for the Riff Raff and Waxahatchee. Claire Thérèse’s vocal style is that of a hardscrabble romantic - earnest and vulnerable, while deeply authentic.
Cantor Dust - Cantor Dust is an experimental art-rock quartet from Winnipeg, MB, crafting immersive, narrative-driven music that explores the space between despair and hope. Founded in 2000 as Mark Klassen’s solo synth project, the band has evolved over two decades and more than a dozen albums into a richly layered ensemble featuring voice, piano, synth, electric cello (Natanielle Felicitas), saxophone (Dan Moroz), and percussion (Scott Ellenberger). Known for spacious, cinematic arrangements and evocative storytelling, Cantor Dust blends spectral textures with a compelling dynamic range.
Grotoko - Grotoko is an art rock project, drawing inspiration from punk, grunge, and classical music. Using melodic lines and a confessional, sometimes sarcastic, non-sense lyrical style, it is a celebration of emotions, attempting to create something mildly beautiful from some uglier things in human experience.
