About this Event
Canticum - Shakespeare Songs
Now in its 34th season, Canticum is one of London’s leading chamber choirs, praised both for accomplished performances of major works and for exploring contemporary repertoire. The choir commissions new writing and gives regular first performances. Recent highlights include JS Bach's Mass in B Minor with Counterpoint at Holy Trinity Sloane Square, Antiphon settings through the centuries at St Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral and The Elizabethans at St Peter's Eaton Square. Canticum returns to the Wren masterpiece church of St Stephen Walbrook for Arvo Pärt's Passio and Scarlatti's Stabat Mater on 7 March, and is delighted to be finishing its season at St Barts with a concert of choral works inspired by William Shakespeare.
