Jim Ickes, Counsel at Zuber Lawler
Jim Ickes is a seasoned attorney with over 23 years of experience in civil litigation, focused on financial and commercial disputes. He is deeply engaged in the cannabis industry, both as a litigator and as an advocate for emerging cannabis markets. Mr. Ickes serves on the board of directors for the Cannabis Beverage Association and hosts "Going Global" for Global Cannabis Times, where he explores international cannabis trends and opportunities. His practice includes representing clients in the cannabis sector, navigating the complexities of legal and regulatory challenges. In addition to his cannabis focus, Mr. Ickes has expertise in highly regulated industries and emerging technologies such as blockchain. As a HCISPP (Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner), he builds HIPAA compliance programs for clients in the healthcare and medical cannabis industries. His comprehensive understanding of these sectors enables him to provide invaluable guidance on privacy and security standards in ever-evolving legal landscapes.

Jared Maloof, CEO of Standard Wellness
Jared is a seasoned professional with a proven track record in providing strategic direction and business performance improvement. He currently serves as CEO of Standard Wellness Holdings, LLC where he oversees operations, finance and accounting, sales and marketing, corporate development, strategic planning, and all capital raise activities. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado School of Business and his Juris Doctorate from Cleveland State University. Jared is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with extensive GAAP familiarity and holds more than 15 years of business, finance, and audit experience. Throughout his career, he has led various capital raises which generated $1.6B in debt and equity. Prior to entering the cannabis industry full-time in 2019, Jared served as CFO at PSC Metals, Inc, a recycling company and reportable segment of Icahn Enterprises which boasts revenues in excess of $1.1B. At PSC Metals, he developed and presented a five-year strategic plan to Carl Icahn designed to increase enterprise value by over $250M while also managing a series of acquisitions and divestitures for the company. Prior to joining PSC Metals, he served as Director of Finance and Director of Supply Chain Optimization at Aleris International, a multinational organization with revenue in excess of $5B. Jared was the Treasurer of the May Dugan Center for four years and lives in Fairview Park, Ohio with his wife, Wendy, and their four children.

Adam Cintas is the National Director of Compliance at Dreamfields, bringing over seven years of experience in the cannabis industry. He has successfully obtained licensure in four states - Arizona, Michigan, California and Massachusetts - across multiple sectors, including event licensure, cultivation, distribution, and manufacturing. Throughout his career, Adam has spearheaded the launch of company subdivisions focused on environmental sustainability, quality control, and health & safety. His expertise in compliance and operational strategy has made him a key leader in driving Dreamfields’ growth and ensuring regulatory excellence within the rapidly evolving cannabis market.
Emilie Ramach, Vice President of Government Affairs at BeneLeaves
Emilie has spent the majority of her professional career in both the adult use and medical cannabis industries. She has extensive expertise in dispensary management, regulatory compliance, and cannabis processing to empower cannabis consumers and patients with safe, quality-driven access to products that enhance their well-being. Emilie is the Vice President of Business and Gov. Affairs for BeneLeaves – a minority and women owned licensed cannabis processing business headquartered in Columbus, Ohio built to FDA regulatory standards.

Tom Zuber, recognized nationwide by Chambers USA, is the Managing Partner of Zuber Lawler, a leading law firm in the global cannabis industry. He personally manages relationships with more than 10 of the firm’s Fortune clients, as well as funds and government entities, including the FDIC. Mr. Zuber is a leading voice in relation to a variety of emerging industries and technologies, including legalized cannabis and legalized psychedelics. Mr. Zuber is a founder of the leading international cannabis consultancy company Global Go and the leading magazine Global Cannabis Times. He has been named one of High Times “100 Most Influential People in the Cannabis Industry,” and sits on the Board of the Psychedelic Medicine Coalition. Mr. Zuber earned a J.D. degree from Columbia Law School, a master’s in public policy degree from Harvard University, and a biomedical engineering degree from Rutgers University, where he graduated with highest honors.
