Settle into a soft, glowing space and be gently guided through a yin practice inspired by Ahimsa, the first Yama of the eight‑limbed path of yoga. Ahimsa invites us into a way of being rooted in kindness, compassion, and non‑violence—toward ourselves, others, and the world around us.In this slow, meditative candlelit class, each posture becomes an opportunity to soften the inner dialogue, release unnecessary tension, and meet yourself with tenderness. Through long-held shapes, mindful breath, and intentional stillness, you’ll explore what it means to rest in your own presence with gentleness.
This practice is an invitation to pause, to listen, and to remember that kindness is a form of strength. Leave feeling spacious, grounded, and quietly renewed—bathed in the warmth of your own compassion.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses that are held for longer periods of time—three minutes or longer per pose is typical. Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues—tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Because Yin Yoga is practiced when the muscles are not yet warmed up, it is recommended that you bring extra layers to keep warm while practicing.
This class takes place in a dark room with the ambient glow of candlelight.
