Welcome to the Cancer Research UK London Gala!

Join us at The Oval for a black tie ball dedicated to raising much needed funds for cancer research.

This event is inspired by and dedicated to the memory of our husbands - Alistair Kettlewell and Michael Barnes.

Alistair spent 5 years giving his Stage 4 oesophageal cancer the what for, passing away 3 days after his 44th Birthday. He inspired us all into always pushing yourself to be the best you can be, even when the odds are stacked against you.

Mike was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2021 and died aged 56 in January 2023. We miss him every single day but his legacy of optimism, kindness and courage lives on.

These men loved their lives, they loved living and they loved their families. All the funds raised from the ball will go towards prevention, early detection and better, less brutal treatments for cancer. Around 1,000 people every day are diagnosed with cancer - let’s try and make the future for them and their families a little more optimistic - and have a fabulous time doing it.
