Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation - Inaugural Ottawa Walk and Family Fun Event

September is designated as Pulmonary Fibrosis month and many major cities across Canada have a fundraising and awareness walk. Ottawa has recently joined and has decided to raise awareness and funds for this terminal illness by sponsoring a walk and a family fun event.
The 30-minute opening ceremony will include an overview of the disease and its effect on families. The event then includes the walk a Pickleball tournament a Kids Zone and a youth zone with various age-appropriate activities as well as a self-defence class and yoga. There is also a BBQ lunch that follows. Participants will raise funds through sponsorships for the walk and tournament and donations for participation in the activities and lunch.
