The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is back, decked out in thousands of lights and ready to put on a show at every stop! Its stop in Wauwatosa will raise funds and food donations for local food bank Tosa Cares.American Authors (whose hit song "Best Day of My Life" topped the charts in 2014) and Pynk Beard will perform during the train stop, plus Santa himself will make an appearance. Admission is free, but donations of non-perishable food items or a monetary donation to Tosa Cares is requested.
The train will stop at the track crossing on Harwood Ave., near the Little Red Store (7720 Harwood Ave.) Parking is available at Hart Park. To get from Hart Park to the track crossing, take the footbridge east of the tennis courts.
EVENT SCHEDULE
3:30 p.m. - Shopping, snacks, and beverages available on State Street
4:15 p.m. - Holiday train arrives
4:30 p.m. - Train event begins, with live music and an appearance by Santa himself
5:00 p.m. - Train departs
(all times are approximate and subject to change depending on when the train arrives)
Donations of healthy, non-perishable food items and cash will be collected for Tosa Cares during the event. Donation collection sites during the event are:
• Intersection of State Street and Wauwatosa Avenue
• Intersection of State Street and Harmonee Avenue
• Homestead Realty—Harwood Avenue south of the train tracks
• Root Common Park, at the intersection of Harwood and Wauwatosa Avenues
