Friday, May 29, The Canadian Centennial Choir will present the world premiere of a newly commissioned Canadian choral work as part of its To Life! concert — an ambitious evening of music featuring choir, soloists, and a 30-piece orchestra at the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre in the heart of Centretown.
At the centre of the performance is In the Mingling and Miracles, a new work by acclaimed Canadian composer Christine Donkin, set to poetry by Wendy Jean MacLean. The premiere forms part of a program that also includes Dan Forrest’s celebrated Requiem for the Living.
