Can You Dig It? is a hands-on community garden series where we learn, grow, and get a little dirt under our nails. Each month brings a new seasonal skill, from planting and composting to harvesting and preserving, so you can build confidence and take a little bit of the garden home with you.Pickling & Preserving: The garden is growing and sometimes it’s more than we can eat! Join us to learn simple ways to pickle and preserve fresh vegetables so nothing goes to waste. We’ll start by harvesting produce from the community garden, then head to the Yanahli Park kitchen for a hands-on introduction to pickling and preserving techniques you can use at home.
