CAN I KICK IT? presents “Kid with the Golden Arm”

On Tuesday, April 30th the CAN I KICK IT? monthly movie series presented by Shaolin Jazz is kicking things up a notch with a screening of the Shaw Bros classic Kid with the Golden Arm (one of the films that inspired the Wu-Tang Clan) at Songbyrd Music House in Union Market. DJ 2-Tone Jones will be providing a mix of hip hop and more to score the film live (scene-by-scene).
Doors open at 7p and the film will kick off at 7:30p. Food and drink specials will be available, plus the Shaolin Jazz merch table will be on hand with apparel items and more. NO RSVP NEEDED!

About Kid with the Golden Arm
In keeping with the spirit and success of the cult classic The Five Venoms, director Chang Cheh reunities the "Five Venoms" in arguably his 2nd biggest cult hit in the West. As the film's lead martial arts instructor and one of the stars, it's also one of Lo Meng's finest moments on screen playing the righteous villian Golden Arms whose eventual showdown with the drunkard Hai Tao is graphically artsy and balletically violent. You won't be disappointed.
