Welcome to Camp Woonasquatucket!

Get ready to explore, discover, and get a little muddy! Camp Woonasquatucket is the perfect place for curious kids who love the outdoors. This Environmental Education Camp invites young adventurers to spend their summer days exploring nature, trying new things, and having tons of fun, all while learning how to care for the world around them.

Set between forest and water at the Leo Bouchard Conservation Center in Smithfield, RI, our camp is packed with hands-on activities, outdoor discoveries, and unforgettable summer memories.

Every day is a new adventure! Campers will:

🌿 Hike and explore local forests and wetlands

🦉 Observe wildlife, track animals, and watch birds

🔬 Conduct exciting science experiments

🐜 Become bug detectives and study tiny ecosystems

🎨 Get creative with upcycled nature crafts

💦 Splash into aquatic life and conservation projects

🌎 Take part in hands-on environmental stewardship

Plus, snacks to fuel the fun!

The Leo Bouchard Conservation Center is a hub for environmental education and outdoor recreation. With access to Wolf Hill trails, a canoe/kayak launch, and hands-on learning spaces, it’s the perfect setting for young adventurers to explore and grow.

Camp Details

Location: Leo Bouchard Conservation Center

5 Waterview Drive, Smithfield, RI 02917

When: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Tuition: $400 per camper Sibling Discount: 50% off for the second child

Ages: 8-13 years old

Session Dates:

July 6 – July 10
July 13 – July 17
July 20 – July 24

When Registering:

Payment: Full payment is due at the time of registration.
Sibling Discount: Families receive 50% off the second child. Please email [email protected] to request a promo code.
Scholarships: Need-based scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact [email protected] for more information.
Paperwork: All required forms will be completed during registration. A camp handbook will be emailed after registration is complete.
Registration Deadline: Registration closes 10 days before the start of each session, unless capacity is reached earlier. Once full, campers may join a waitlist.
Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellations made at least 10 days before the session start date will receive a refund minus a $50 processing fee. No refunds are available within 10 days of the session start date. If a session is canceled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
