At the height of America's Golden Age of Cocktails, Prohibition shuttered the doors of drinking establishments. What happened? Let's mix some drinks and talk about the social movements, politics, and cultural tensions that came together in the early nineteenth century, culminating in the ban on alcohol.
Experience Prohibition's influence on cocktail culture firsthand as Hogwash Whiskey Den'smaster mixologist, Simon Moorby, leads you through crafting three cocktails. Gain hands-on knowledge of essential mixology techniques and bar tools, while Raising the Bar's resident historian, Renée, reveals how these drinks help chronicle the history and stories of Prohibition.
