Food insecurity in New York City is at historic heights. One in four children suffer from food insecurity with many going to bed hungry not knowing where their next meal is coming from. Sadly, the number of clients served by food pantries in NYC has almost doubled in the last two years.
Calvary’s Mission is a nonprofit organization that is focused on meeting the needs of people by delivering food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children and families who lack basic living essentials. In our local neighborhood of Queens, New York, Calvary’s Mission aids those who aren't making ends meet by distributing food to over 1,000 people within a four-hour timeframe on Saturdays on a weekly basis. At the height of the COVID pandemic, we serviced as many as 2,000 people each Saturday.
Calvary’s Mission invites you to join our efforts to end food insecurity. We are hosting a fundraising dinner dance on Friday, October 11, 2024, 7:00pm at the beautiful Dyker Beach Golf Course. Tickets are $125 per person . We would appreciate if you could donate to this worthy fundraising effort. We hope that we can count on you to make this event one of our best to date.
