Join us for an evening with Richard Kreitner, author of Fear No Pharaoh: American Jews, the Civil War, and the Fight to End Slavery. Drawing on original sources, Kreitner tells the stories of six remarkable American Jews who shaped one of history's most turbulent eras — and wrestled with a question as old as the Exodus story: did Jewish tradition demand speaking out against slavery, or did survival require silence?
This moderated one-hour program will be followed by a book signing; ASL interpretation will be provided, and assisted listening devices are available upon request. Doors open at 5:30pm — advanced registration is suggested to ensure your seat.
