About this Event

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

Parenting is rewarding—and relentless. When stress runs the show, it doesn’t just live in our heads; it lives in our bodies and shows up in how we speak, listen, react, and connect with our kids and partners.

This interactive workshop helps parents learn how to work with their nervous system instead of fighting it. You’ll learn how to notice stress signals in your body before they turn into snapping, shutting down, over-explaining, or emotional exhaustion. Through short, simple, science-backed body-based tools, you’ll practice calming your system in real time—so you can respond with more patience, clarity, and presence at home.

The tools are practical and easy to use in daily life, and they can be adapted for children of all ages—helping you model emotional regulation and resilience in a way kids actually learn from, not just hear about.

WHY THIS MATTERS FOR PARENTS

Children don’t learn regulation from what we say—they learn it from what we embody. When parents develop body awareness and nervous system skills:

  • Home feels calmer and more connected
  • Conflict de-escalates faster
  • Kids feel safer, seen, and steadier
  • Parents feel more grounded, patient, and resourced

This work supports you in being a better parent, partner, and human—without adding more to your already full plate.

PERFECT FOR:

  • Parents feeling stretched thin, overwhelmed, or emotionally depleted
  • Caregivers navigating big emotions (their child’s and their own)
  • Parents who want tools for stress that actually work in the moment
  • Families wanting healthier communication and emotional resilience
  • Anyone who wants to model calm, self-regulation, and empathy for their kids

** No prior experience required—just a willingness to notice your body.

Testimonials:

"In Christianne’s workshop, I learned that I am someone who spends far too much time in “the yellow” (elevated stressed zone)... I’ve been using 2 of her BQ practices daily and they have been great tools over the past month.... I only wish her presentation was longer." ~ Doug England (Telus)

"Christanne's energy is contagious. You will feel uplifted and empowered after her session! Awesome session - thank you! ~ Sara Wanner (SD36)
