A calm, artist-led monthly art workshop for adults in Moseley. Explore expressive techniques in a relaxed, welcoming space.
About this Event

Take a gentle creative pause and spend an hour making art in a relaxed, welcoming space at The Moseley Hive.

This monthly workshop is designed for adults who enjoy creativity but don’t want a loud or rushed “paint night.” Each session offers calm, artist-led guidance with a focus on exploration, colour, and personal interpretation rather than perfection.

The sessions are welcoming to all levels — whether you’re returning to art after a break or simply curious to try something new. You’ll be guided step by step, with space to work at your own pace and develop your own visual language.

All materials are provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own preferred materials if they wish.
Small group, cozy atmosphere.

January session focus: Pet as Muse

The January session will gently explore pets as sources of comfort, character, and inspiration. Rather than creating a realistic portrait, we’ll focus on expressive colour, loose mark-making, and capturing personality and mood.

You’re welcome to bring a photo of your pet on your phone, but this is optional — the session is open to everyone, including those who simply enjoy working with animal forms or expressive imagery.

Monthly sessions (Saturdays, 2:00–3:00 pm):
17 January 2026
21 February 2026
21 March 2026
18 April 2026
16 May 2026

Each session is a standalone workshop — you’re welcome to attend one or return regularly.

What to expect:
• A relaxed, supportive environment
• Gentle guidance from a professional artist
• Expressive techniques using paint and mixed media
• No pressure to “get it right”
• A finished piece to take home
