Welcome to STEAM URBAN’s Outdoor S.T.E.A.M. Freedom School, where learning meets liberation in the heart of nature! This unique, hands-on program is designed for Black and Brown youth to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) through culturally responsive, healing-centered, and community-driven experiences.
Set in the open air, our Freedom School integrates environmental justice, urban farming, creative expression, and indigenous knowledge systems to empower students with the tools to reconnect with the land, their history, and their own limitless potential. Participants will engage in experiential learning, problem-solving challenges, and collaborative projects that inspire critical thinking, innovation, and a deep sense of belonging.
More than just an educational program, the Outdoor S.T.E.A.M. Freedom School is a sanctuary—a space where students feel seen, valued, and encouraged to dream beyond systemic barriers. Through mentorship, storytelling, movement, and hands-on activities, we cultivate a love for learning that is rooted in freedom, healing, and self-determination.
