35th Annual Music Under the Stars | Fridays: Salsa y MásA native New Mexico salsa band and Music Under the Stars favorite, Calle 66 serves up contemporary salsa, merengue, cumbia, and bachata with a unique style and flavor. With a mission to play contemporary salsa and to perform music with integrity and respect to the salsa art form, Calle 66 touches on influences representing Cuba, Puerto Rico and Colombia as well as well as Argentina and Peru. Featuring vocalist Jackie Zamora, who is originally from Lima, Perú and who is also the longtime vocalist for New Mexico popular band, Baracutanga, the music of Calle 66 highlights infectious grooves that are sure to keep you on the dance floor! Along with Zamora, the band features Steve Figueroa, piano; Colin Deuble, bass; Paul Gonzales, trumpet; Glenn Kostur, saxophone; Micah Hood, trombone; Ricky Carrido, congas; David Flores, drums; and Giselle Harrison, back-up vocals.
