The Rotary Club of New London invites artists to participate in Opus for Peace, a juried exhibition at Hygienic Art centered on the theme of PEACE. In a world often marked by division, art holds a unique power to bring people together, foster healing, and spark inspiration. This exhibition is part of the Rotary district’s Opus for Peace initiative—an effort to create harmony, promote wellness, and celebrate diversity through the transformative power of the arts.Submission Guidelines:
Artists may submit up to three pieces reflecting the theme PEACE.
Artwork may be ANY MEDIUM or SIZE
One piece per artist $15, two $25, $30 submission fee.
Receiving Dates: Thursday April 30th & Friday, May 1st 12-7 PM at Hygienic Art, 79 Bank St, New London, CT.
Prizes:
1st Place: $1,000
2nd Place: $500
3rd Place:$250
Jurors: Esteemed Artist Marvin Espy, Tonya Pohrt, Curator Lyman Allyn, and Sarah Gordon, Multimedia Journalist The Day
Exhibition Opening: Saturday, May 9rd | 6-8 PM at Hygienic Art
Join us in harnessing the power of art as a catalyst for peace and connection. Together, we can create a visual dialogue that encourages harmony, empathy, and understanding. Throughout the month of May, a series of events will bring communities together—featuring thought-provoking art installations, community yoga, spoken word, music and film that celebrate our shared humanity.
The exhibit runs through June 6th 2026.
