About this Event
"When considering California's contributions to the alcoholic beverage industry, wine is often the first to come to mind. However, the Golden State is also home to the first craft distillery established after Prohibition and boasts more distilleries (225) than any other state in the U.S. Much like its internationally acclaimed wine industry, California’s distillers are gaining global recognition for their distinctive spirits, crafted using local ingredients, innovative techniques, and a long-standing tradition of excellence. In Whiskey University’s Course #215 – California Whiskeys, participants will explore the state’s distillation origins, the rise, decline, and resurgence of Western spirits, and the diverse range of modern-day production that spans California from the sparsely populated tree-filled North to vibrant, sunny coastal South."
