Coming together to advance unity and confront hate.
The time is now for collective action against hate!
Join us for the California Civil Rights Summit – a full day of cultural discussions, workshops, and art experiences as we come together to discuss how, as a community and a state, we can advance unity and confront hate. The day will include discussions on pop culture and representation, speaking out against hate, and the urgent need for support services and community care. You’ll hear from local leaders, organizers, artists, and elected officials about the tactics, challenges, and collective action needed to protect civil rights. Workshops include bystander training, healing through art, and findings from the California Commission on the State of Hate's most recent report.
This full-day summit is hosted by California vs Hate, California Commission on the State of Hate, The Commonwealth Club World Affairs, and Stop the Hate (a grant program of the California Department of Social Services).
Doors open at 8am. Programming starts at 9am.
While the event is free, all attendees must register in advance at www.cavshate.org/summit.
