About this Event
People for Education is a national charitable nonprofit focused on research, policy, and public engagement related to the value of public education in strengthening Canadaβs resilience and prosperity.
We invite you to join us for the Calgary edition of our cross-country event series, The Promise of Public Education, which brings together leaders from sectors, including education, academia, business, nonprofit, community, policy, and labour.
This event will explore the role of public schools in addressing producitivity and creating a competitive economy.
People for Education's co-Executive Director, Paris Semansky, will moderate a panel discussion with the following experts:
- Ruhee Ismail-Teja, Vice President, Policy & External Affairs, Calgary Chamber of Commerce
- Jason Schilling, President, Alberta Teachers' Association
The panel will be followed by a networking reception where light refreshments will be served.
