We’ll explore the history and events that shaped this Norman motte & bailey castle and old manor site over the last one thousand years. Looking at who built it, what is was like to live there, what happened to it over the years and its decline, with stories of its owners, occupies, visitors, raiders and looters! We'll look their grisly diet and the affect of the black death and how one of Bedfordshire finest castle sites fitted in the landscape.
