For four generations Ca’ del Baio has been a family affair, as is the tradition in the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy. For the Grasso family, simplicity, a sense of sacrifice and the deep attachment they have to their land are pre-requisites for guaranteeing wines of quality. Over the course of the years Ca’ del Baio has acquired a prominent position in the world of Barbaresco, one of the most widely-appreciated and high profile Italian red wines, competing on international markets in Europe and throughout the world.
The three Grasso daughters, Paola, Valentina and Federica, have stepped up as this generation's winemakers of Ca'del Baio. Paola and her sisters have been working for years learning firsthand the art of winemaking from their father, and Paola continued her winemaking education at the prestigious Scuola Enologica di Alba.
Meet winemaker Paola Grasso in person and hear all about her passion and craft in producing these incredibly elegant Barbarescos while dining on a beautiful meal from The Roost culinary team, led by Chef Rachael Marie.
