Join watercolor artist and educator, Alexandra Hibshman, for a unique watercolor experience at the Potawatomi Conservatory in South Bend, Indiana. This workshop is perfect for all artistic levels, including beginners, and all materials are provided so you can simply show up ready to create.We’ll begin with an introduction to watercolor basics, building confidence with foundational techniques before moving into painting a variety of cactus shapes, textures, and color variations.
What makes this workshop truly special is the setting. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the Conservatory’s Arizona Desert Dome, surrounded by a wide variety of cacti, and use it as inspiration for their painting. Observing these plants up close allows you to capture unique shapes, colors, and details in your own creative way.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own cactus painting, new watercolor skills, and inspiration drawn directly from this one-of-a-kind environment.
