Cacao is a sacred medicine used by indigenous cultures in Central and South America for thousands of years. Served as a thick beverage, it tastes like an earthy hot chocolate and is known to benefit physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Specifically, cacao can stimulate your heart and increase blood flow throughout the body, creating a sense of calm and deeper connection with others.
Join us on Saturday morning for the ritual consumption of cacao, followed by tantric breathwork to enhance sensual energy in the body. Practicing with cacao can help deepen the effects of tantric breathwork, which activates the vagus nerve and opens the body to more sensation.
This class is open to all genders and perfect for anyone who wants to reconnect with their true loving nature. Classes may also include movement and energy work.
Note: Cacao is known to be very safe for most people. But cacao is not recommended for people who take antidepressants; have a heart condition; are epileptic; or are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are taking 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), it is recommended that you consume a smaller dose of cacao. If you take St. John’s Wort, you are advised to refrain from taking it for a few days before and after taking cacao. Since cacao can lower blood pressure, you may want to take a smaller dose if you already have low blood pressure.
