About this Event
California Art Club Paint/Sculpt-Out with an authentically attired Napoleonic Model
Saturday, April 11 | 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Admission | General: $10; PMH and CAC Members: FREE
Bring your paint, bushes, and an easel, and join your fellow artists for a paint/sculpt-out at the grand staircase of the Fényes Mansion, on the campus of Pasadena Museum of History. This historic setting becomes the backdrop for a unique plein air opportunity! Our model will be dressed in an authentic 1800’s era uniform of a Napoleonic, Fifth Huzzar. Reminiscent of a famous Sorolla portrait of a young prince, our long pose session is designed to challenge your artistic abilities. Featured California Art Club Signature members Alexi Steel, Jove Wang, and Peter Adams will be offering their insights and expertise, along with other noted participants. If you prefer to try your hand at landscape painting, springtime in the Fényes Estate Garden will provide bountiful inspiration. Either way, come join us for a day of artistic adventure!
Painting participants must bring their own supplies i.e., paints, bushes, chairs, easels, etc.
Space is limited; advance reservations required.
