Would you like to make tied fleece blankets or knitted/crocheted scarves to donate to a shelter or a nursing home? Join us for Bring Your Own Crafts (BYOC) Crafternoons for a Cause. You bring the craft supplies, and we’ll supply the tools for you to use including scissors, knitting needles, crochet hooks, etc. Let’s help those in need together. For tied fleece blankets, you’ll need:
• 2 pieces of fleece (often a patterned one and a solid matching color)
o 1.5 to 2 yards each for a adult throw blanket
o 1 to 1.5 yards each for a child’s or baby’s blanket
For a knit scarf, you’ll need:
• 150 to 250 yards of bulky or worsted weight yarn (depending on the desired length and width)
• 400 to 600 yards may be needed for thinner yarns
