BYOBRASS
Established in 2017, BYOBrass is a high-energy brass band consisting of 9 professional musicians and educators from Iowa. Playing music in styles ranging from funk, pop, R&B, Americana, jazz, techno, and SO much more, the guys bring sassy and brassy fun to the stage.

THE SWALLOWTAILS
The Swallowtails are an independent acoustic band experimenting in the rock/pop genres while performing on what are traditionally folk/classical instruments, creating a unique sound all their own. Featuring Miki P on Guitar/Vocals and Rachel Lovelace on Bassoon/Vocals, the duo’s original music out of Kansas City is migrating throughout the Midwest and beyond.

Formed in 2018, The Swallowtails is inspired by the evolution of the butterfly: cyclically reinventing itself to spread its wings. Coming from a wide array of musical backgrounds, they have an idiomatic approach to genre, being able to incorporate influences from a wide spanning array of popular and classic music into their own songs. The Swallowtails are artists committed to creating music that is honest, heartfelt, and reflective of who they are, to connect with listeners through recorded work and live performances.
The Swallowtails have released two albums in their 5 year history: their debut “Right Where We Are” in August of 2020, and their recently released sophomore album “The World Still Spins” on May 22nd, 2023. In November of 2023, the band won “Best Song by a Local Band” in the Kansas City magazine The Pitch for their original song “Take it Slow.” Their latest EP “Lucky Penny” released in February of 2024. NPR’s 90.9 The Bridge says about their latest project, “A lovely confluence of pastoral folk and baroque pop, these songs evoke the understated but poignant movements that we all encounter throughout life – in celebration, struggle, regrets and realizations.”
