DIY Tie-Dye Party!
Get ready to add a burst of color to your wardrobe at our all-ages tie-dye event! Create vibrant, one-of-a-kind designs using classic tie-dye techniques and take home a wearable masterpiece. Whether you're a first-time dyer or a seasoned color artist, this hands-on activity is a fun way to get creative and experiment with color.

Details:
Bring Your Own Item: Participants may bring their own item to tie-dye for $15
Tie-Dye Kit Option: For $22, receive a headband and a pair of socks to tie-dye during the event.
Includes Supplies: Dye, gloves, rubber bands, and all necessary materials will be provided.
Who Can Join: Open to all ages! Children may need assistance from a parent or caregiver depending on age.
No Experience Necessary: Our staff will guide participants through the process and provide tips for creating fun patterns and color combinations.
No advance registration is required, but registering will allow you to automatically add the event to your calendar and helps us better estimate supplies and guarantee you a spot. Drop in anytime during activity hours and get ready to create something colorful!
Getting Here & What to Expect:
All events take place inside the Craft Lab at Because Science, our retail shop located at 1759 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC (across from the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan).
Look for the squiggly rainbow mural! Enter Because Science and walk to the back of the store (between the biology and anatomy sections) to find the entrance to the Craft Lab
Metro: We're a 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park (red line) or Columbia Heights (green line) Metro stations.
Bus: The D72, D74, C51, and C53 buses stop nearby.
Parking: Street parking is mostly limited to 30 minutes—walking, biking, or ride share is recommended. There is a parking garage located at 2421 18th St NW, about a block away.
