Long time workers & civil rights organization Black Workers for Justice hosts its 42nd annual banquet that commemorates Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr, who at the time of his assassination, was standing with Memphis sanitation workers fighting against racism, for dignity, equality, workplace safety and economic justice. The evening features inspiring guest speakers, self determination awards, solidarity recognitions of organizations working to build better communities & workplaces as well as poignant, uplifting & inspirational poetry and live music cultural presentations! Tickets: $50-Adult; $25 Senior (65+)/Child (under 12)/Student (with ID)
