And so the excitement begins! BWC 4 is finally here and its time to explore a different part of Scotland’s railway network and its associated spectacular scenery. Sit back and relax behind our 2 x EPR Class 37s working in top and tail mode throughout all 3 days (one will be a 37/4), exploring a number of key mainlines, branchlines, commuter belt action, and generally places that just don’t see loco hauled trains! As per last year, we are pleased to offer both First Class and Standard Class accommodation on BWC 4, but as per previously, please do not delay booking as this fixture sells out very quickly! Also worth noting, our special train is limited to just 6 vehicles due to platform lengths.
Towering mountains, glittering lochs, dense woodlands and miles upon miles of golden beaches - Scotland's landscapes and natural scenery really will take your breath away. View the rolling hills and lush farmland, as we travel throughout the Scottish lowlands, seeing many of the delights that the Country has to offer… we also find the time to pop down to Carlisle via some highlights too! You will have time to explore Glasgow’s fine atmospheric bars and restaurants for a drink (or two!) and grab a hearty meal with friends and family in-between the days out.
On board, visit our famous Real Ale Bar for a selection of hand pulled real ales, served by our expert Bar Stewards. A Buffet car service of drinks, snacks and light refreshments will also be available.
All profits from this fixture will be for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH).
So what is the plan and what can you look forward too! First thing to say... we have gone on sale a couple of weeks earlier than planned to allow you to book and plan your associated travel including our own positioning moves. Although our route is now finalised, we have not yet received our final timings, so can’t quote exact start and finish times... we will update on these as soon as possible. But enjoy reading our planned route, and some of the much sought after bits of unusual track, platforms, loops, crossings and so much more as we growl our way around Scotland.
All times and routing are indicative until confirmed by Network Rail. Final routing and timings are usually confirmed by Network Rail five days before travel and will be enclosed with your e-ticket.
