Hampshire's rich range of habitats gives rise to an impressive array of butterflies. From the blues of the chalk to the tree-dwelling hairstreaks, our resident species and regular visitors will feature in December's Portsdown talk by Megan Sice. Covering topics such as food-plant requirements, landscaping for lepidoptera, and conservation considerations; butterflies and their dependency on biodiversity will be discussed in detail this evening.Megan works with Portsmouth Countryside Service and has previously been an Assistant Ecologist for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. She is well known to us for her enthusiasm volunteering with FoPH as well as with Hampshire Conservation Volunteers.
