Business with Impact Dinner

North East businesses are doing a lot of good and driving change. But could we accelerate our impact by doing more together and learning from each other? The 'Business with Impact Dinner' was founded to explore that together.

March 2026 will be the third dinner to explore collaborative impact. With the closure of Newcastle's first food surplus focussed cafe, Magic Hat, we were on the hunt for a new venue to host us. The team at Gateshead College jumped at the opportunity to support, and we're delighted to be hosting the dinner at Enfields Kitchen on the Baltic Campus at Gateshead College.

A whole new setting, but with even more impact. The meal will still be prepared by the team from Magic Hat and Bind UK, and the menu will still be food surplus focussed. This time, the team will be working in collaboration with Gateshead College students, giving them hands-on experience in a real event setting, something that feels perfectly aligned with the purpose of this dinner.

The Business with Impact Dinner first took place in March 2025 and brought like-minded North East businesses together. The network we built were keen to establish the community to continue to share ideas, tackle the big issues and facilitate connections to empower us all to make more of an impact through our businesses.

As has become the norm guests will be offered the chance to deliver a 5-minute lightning talk during the event on their chosen topic related to either community, the environment or health and wellbeing. You have the opportunity to sign up to one of these talks in the booking form.

The dinner will keep waste to a minimum, and we will be tracking and offsetting any carbon. 10% of the ticket cost will be donated to Bind UK.
