About this Event
This 6 week in-person cohort will cover key functional areas to include: Basics of Starting; Market Research and Strategies; Developing a Management Team; Accounting/Finance; Sources of Funding, Franchising & Acquisition; and Community Resources. Subject matter professionals will be invited as guests to the sessions to provide in-depth information on the respective topics. All participants will be provided a mentor and will have opportunity to meet and learn about the services of community resources. Participants will complete and present a Pitch Deck.
- Sessions are held weekly on Wednesday from 6-8:30 p.m.
- Program Starts January 21 and runs through February 25.
- You will need to bring a copy of your DD214 or (active orders) and a brief bio (one paragraph) to the first session.
To help translate the skills learned in the military to entrepreneurship, Veterans Florida and statewide partner organizations have joined forces to offer the Veterans FloridaEntrepreneurship Program. Program expenses for all participants will be covered through funding provided by the Florida Legislature and Veterans Florida.
