Carrying a bathtub adorned with rubber ducks and dressed as the Marvel character Deadpool, John Bell 46, cuts a striking figure.

Since his son Jake, 15, tragically committed suicide in 2020, ex-Army man John has completed multiple walking challenges to raise cash for suicide prevention charities - particularly Papyrus, which offers support for young people struggling with mental health. John is the founder of Walking 4 hope, a CIO (Charity Incorporated Organisation) that supports families and young people who find it difficult to deal with the pressures that day to day life presents.

The Pride of Britain Awards is an annual award ceremony which honours British people who have acted bravely or extraordinarily in challenging situations. John has been selected as regional champion for his exceptional fundraising efforts and is a nominee for the national ITV Fundraiser of the Year award.
