Target group:
This startup programme is aimed at newly arrived refugee living in the 6 municipalities of the region called Øvre Romerike (Ullensaker, Gjerdrum, Eidsvoll, Nes, Hurdal and Nannestad) who want practical insight into how to succeed in setting up their own business in Norway.
Because this is a pilot programme funded by Viken county only participants living in one of the municipalities listed above will be included in the programme

Programme outline:
The programme which is hosted by Etablerertjenesten Øvre Romerike, Norges Vel and Inclusion includes:
- 3 full days seminar with topics including company structure, legal requirements and reporting duties regarding taxation and accounting, business development, marketing management, selling and networking in Norway (Viken and the Oslo region).
- Access to a live digital business plan
- Dedicated follow-up from Etablerertjenesten advisers (the Startup Services) for participants in the programme period
- Introduction into network opportunities in Viken and the Oslo region
The four seminar programme modules:
Module 1 (Seminar day 1 - 4 December)
Company structure, accounting and taxation duties and regulations,
business culture in Norway, introduction to the live business plan
Module 2 ((Seminar day 1 - 4 December)
Business modelling, idea generation and business planning
Module 3 (Seminar day 2 - 7 December)
Marketing management
Module 4 (Seminar day 2 - 7 December)
Sales and networking
Module 5 (Seminar day 3 - 13 December)
Norwegian Business Culture
Module 6 (Seminar day 3 - 13 December)
Measure Customer Satisfaction - Direct dialogue with customers

Participants in the startup programme will be selected after candidates have applied to the programme.

Who are the Organisers?
The Business Compass for new arrivals programme is hosted by Etablerertjenesten Øvre Romerike (startupromerike.no), Norges Vel and Inclusion. The programme is funded by Viken County.
Etablerertjenesten (startupromerike.no) is a FREE start up service for people living in the Romerike region wanting to start a company. Our services include:

- Basic startup courses (Duration 3 hours - also in English)
- Speciality startup courses (Duration 3 hours - in Norwegian only)
- 1 hours webinars (also some of them in English)
- Startup Cafes (In Norwegian only. Also a good place for networking)
