These classes are for ALL LEVELS, so whether you've never done burlesque before or you're a burlesque veteran, you are very welcome! We all have scholarships available for students of color who want to take the classes.
Game Face: Cultivating Natural Facial Expressions for Performance with Eva La Feva

Express yourself from head to toe with this workshop geared toward cultivating natural and dynamic facial expressions in your performance. Instead of just plastering on a fake smile, this workshop will give you psychological tools and tricks to approach generating natural facial expressions from deep within yourself, creating more genuine and resonant characters/body language so you can express yourself and connect on a deeper level to your audience. Bring: Yoga mat (optional)
Draglesque with Karma Carnelian
1-2:30PM | North Liberty Recreation Center | $25
This class is open to ALL GENDERS and expressions and will focus on exploring and deconstructing gender through movement, using Magic Mike traditionally "masculine" choreography and character development and as the access point. This class is perfect for anyone looking to dip into Draglesque, dissect and play with traditionally “masculine” movement, and challenge what that’s even supposed to look like! Gender is nothing but learned choreography, let’s explore it together :)
