Burlesque 201: Advanced Art of the Tease is an 8-week intermediate series designed for students who have completed Burlesque 101 and are ready to build on their foundation in a focused, performance-driven container.
Led by Dewmee Decimal, Phoenix Sanguine, and Rachel of The Feral Showgirls, this series continues the embodiment-centered, consent-forward, trauma-informed approach of 101—while expanding into more complex choreography, layered storytelling, dynamic stage presence, and intentional group performance work.
This is where technique meets artistry.
Over eight weeks, students will:
- Refine foundational movement with greater control and nuance
- Explore musicality, pacing, and advanced tease mechanics
- Develop stronger character embodiment and performance confidence
- Learn and rehearse group choreography
- Collaborate on a cohesive piece with the intention of performing at a Zen show
Unlike 101, this series is performance-focused. Participation in the group piece is expected, as the choreography builds week to week toward the stage. Students will work collaboratively to determine costuming direction; additional costuming expenses will be incurred.
The emphasis remains on choice, agency, and body autonomy—while inviting you to stretch your expressive range, stamina, and stage magnetism.

• Thursdays, 7:00–8:00 PM for 8 weeks
• Open to ages 18+
• Prerequisite: Completion of Burlesque 101
• Group choreography with planned Zen show performance
• Additional costuming expenses will apply (determined collaboratively)
