Explore the beauty of natural dyeing with fresh flowers! In this botanical dyeing workshop, we tour the dye garden at Simple Hill Farm and talk about dye plants that grow in this area. You will have free reign to harvest dye flowers for your own bundle dyeing project that we will complete during the workshop. You get a small cotton square for a practice round and a cotton tote bag dye for the final project. An optional visit to the flock of merino sheep is included.Bundle Dyeing is the process of applying dye materials to a target fiber or fabric, bundling it up and steaming it to set the dyes. The effect is a fluid mix of colors.
