Members Legal Principal Lawyer, Julian Lane, will be on hand to talk through practical steps you can take to navigate fixed price contracts with your clients, as well as measures for contracts moving forward.
Julian will cover issues like passing on increased costs and how to negotiate this with your client, cost escalation, rise and fall clauses, prime cost items and provisional sums. He’ll also talk to the benefits and risks of Cost Plus Contracts and extension of time for delays caused by unavailability of materials, supplies or labour.
NuPod will demonstrate how modern void formers improve concrete slab performance, why they’re used as an alternative to polystyrene waffle pods, and the added advantages plastic pods deliver, particularly in regional environments.
Walsc AAC Panel systems will show you how to use their products for greater efficiency, reduced installation times, and a reduction in overall build costs.
