We are so proud to announce that we have received funding for our means group Bunch of mugs! ‘Bunch of mugs’ is a free men’s only lead ceramic making session in which participants learn the basics of ceramics and how to be more creative. The space in which it is held, is for men in the community to get out of their comfort zone, and be surrounded by others who are struggling with mental health. The two hour session, is a period of time where men get to be removed from their current life and instead spend that time making, talking, and creating. Allowing bonds to be made with each other, the tutor, and the clay that they shape between their hands. Clay, historical and malleable in form, can be seen as a way of shaping yourself and letting go. We believe at Wedge that like the clay, the space that is offered here is a way to let go, and to begin something new that can hopefully be followed on as a regular craft.
