FREE Opening Ceremony: journeying through Newquay’s mythic past
Join Sam and Alex of Recalling Fire to mark the beginning of the weekend, and wander along the byways of the “otherworld” as seen by Newquay’s ancient forebears.
The work of Recalling Fire is to reignite some of the old, forgotten ways of being together in community, reorienting adults to the power of myth and fairytale in modern life, especially in times of crisis.
Remember your body and your connection to the natural world. Pause for long enough to remember what matters most and fall back in love with the world. Meet ancient, wild stories and maybe, in the twilight, meet yourself.
