Robbie Philips shares stories from his climbing career. From his start as an indoor boulderer to his more recent outdoor exploits. Notably the first ascent in 133 years of the Thumb, off the coast of St-Kilda. He retraces the steps of ancient St-Kildan climbers who scaled sea stacks to forage for food. Robbie will deliver a talk followed by the premier of his new film then a short Q&A.
This event is hosted by the Bangor University Mountaineering Society (BUMS) in the second-floor lecture theatre of the Pontio building.
