Bumpy's long awaited debut album 'KANANA' is finally here and on December 12 she will bring it to The Night Cat alongside her insanely talented and commanding live band, with special guests to be announced. 'KANANA' has already been noted as a 'true standout of Australian soul music this year' (2SER) receiving 9 x feature album the week of it's release (Double J, RRR, PBS, Rolling Stone +) and Double J noting "It's testament to Bumpy's authenticity and her commitment to bringing her whole self to her art. With a cornerstone of intricate harmonies and shimmering textures, the chemistry and closeness of the live show creates an almost hypnotic bond that takes audiences on a “vibrant sonic journey” (The Music) through a unique constellation of contemporary soul, funk, jazz, folk and powerful soul, weaving in deeply intimate storytelling and cheeky moments.
Bumpy has enraptured audiences at London Jazz Festival, Meredith Music Festival, WOMADelaide, Woodford Folk Festival, Strawberry Fields, Wellington Jazz Festival and International Indigenous Music Summit, shared stages with world-class talents Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Meshell Ndegeocello, Hiatus Kaiyote, Mildlife and Yussef Dayes, performed at Dreamtime at the ‘G and made her debut at Sydney Opera House last year.
Bumpy will be bringing 'KANANA' to life for the home show with an array of features as well as limited merch designed by GAMMIN THREADS.
