The City of Modesto is hosting a bulky drive-up and drop-off event! Open to all Modesto residents where you can finally get rid of some of those larger items that have been waiting to be discarded. Accepted items for disposal include household bulky items, appliances, household trash, e-waste, tires, and mattresses and box springs. EVENT DETAILS:
-Date: May 30th, 2026
-Location: Legion Park - 1600 Legion Park Drive, Modesto, CA, 95351
-Time: 8am - 12pm (or until full)
*No businesses. City of Modesto households only - please bring proof of address.
*Hazardous waste items will NOT be accepted (including paint, batteries, lightbulbs, oil filters, oil, chemicals, etc.)
This free disposal event is funded by the City of Modesto Solid Waste Fund, grants, and partnerships with Clean CA, CalTrans, Bye Bye Mattress, CalRecycle, and Ecycle Pros and hauled by Gilton Solid Waste Management.
