Calling all women and gender-diverse individuals (18+)! Fast and Female is excited to launch year two of our Running Program - Built to Run in Toronto!
Built to Run (BTR) uptown Toronto is a 6-week couch to 5 km program delivered on Tuesday evenings at Oriole Park from Septemeber 10- October 15, 2024. BTR will provide a weekly 60-minute running program leading up to the TSC: Toronto Waterfront Marathon 5KM Run on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
It doesn't matter where you're at in your movement journey; whether you're a seasoned runner or new to running, you were to Built to Run, and you belong here! Our Built To Run Program is a FREE running program that our experts have designed to be an inclusive and engaging way to connect with others, build community, and encourage movement (and try running even if it’s your very first time!).
While it’s a completely free program to join, we do ask you to consider supporting us in one of the following ways:
- Donate - a one-time donation or become a monthly donor
- Fundraise on our behalf - create a fundraising page here and fundraise for Fast and Female
- Spread the word - help share our cause with others in your community. Reshare or repost our message on social media. As a charity, we rely on the generosity of others to ensure we can continue empowering girls and women through sport, physical activity, and education.
About the Program:
Who:
- Women and gender-diverse individuals
- Must be 18 years or older to participate
When:
- Week 1: Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 6:15PM
- Week 2: Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 6:15PM
- Week 3: Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 6:15PM
- Week 4: Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 6:15PM
- Week 5: Tuesday,October 8, 2024 at 6:15PM
- Week 6: Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 6:15PM
- RACE DAY- Saturday, October 19 at 8:00AM at Exhibition Place Toronto, ON
Timing:
- 6:15 - 7:15 pm (60 minutes, including warm-up, run, cool down)
Where:
- Tennis Courts at Oriole Park (201 Oriole Pkwy, Toronto, ON M5P 2H1)
Cost:
- FREE! (Participants will be responsible for signing up for the TCS: Toronto Waterfront Marathon: 5KM Run on their own at their own expense)
